Properties:
The AN is an oxidizer. At 210 oC plus interaction with sulfur, iron pyrite, hypochloride lime, metallic powders (particularly, zinc powder), the AN decomposes into toxic oxides and oxygen, the latter being a possible cause for ignition of matters contracting with the AN (particularly, sacks). The AN has high degree of dissolving in water. Stands out for its high hygroscopicity.
The AN is low toxic. Causes skin and mucous membrane irritation.
